Renan was not revoked. And I believe that it should not. I followed all the previous day on TV and the Senate, after listening to the "accusation" and Renan's own defense, it would be ridiculous to think that what was characterized as evidence would have some weight in the decision of parliament.
It is sad that the media manipulation of mass communication make about what occurs. Those who could accompany the speeches, both of whom defended as those who condemned, might perceive an almost total ignorance about the case. In my view, the criticism should be directed to the rapporteurs, who were not able to gather evidence that would justify even the breakdown of parliamentary decorum.
Worse! Neither the article in the constitution that was framed in the case had to do with the comprehensive words of Senators who have spoken. The timeline was not observed. And these were just some of the failures. In the end, it's easy to take down the insignificant smiling Renan thesis and its "very strong" evidence, one by one.
